MECHANIC Duties and Responsibilities:
• day to day maintenance and repair works on the unit, including the overall housekeeping of machinery spaces;
• makes and reports scheduled inspections and maintenance of all technical equipment;
• reports to the Chief Mechanic for all technical matters;
• reports on used spare parts and consumables;
• carries out watch keeping duties in the engine room;
• daily control of fuel & lubes and potable water quantities including empty spaces remaining onboard;
• reports mechanical breakdowns and communicates with the Chief Mechanic;
• being familiar with his duties in an emergency situation and being aware of acts & regulations, Company’s procedures, and ensures that those are complied with.
Qualifications and Trainings:
• rounded secondary education in technical or marine engineering;
• proven work experience (minimum 2 years) in a technical hands-on position in the jack-up, offshore or maritime industry;
• confident personality, stress resistant and results oriented;
• good English verbal and written communication skills;
• BOSIET and HUET (incl. EBS) are required.
