Salary £26,054 - £37,943 (including £1,878 Islands Allowance) + 10% Marine Certificate Bonus (salary on appointment will depend on experience and qualifications). Relocation package available.

The NAFC Marine Centre is an industry-focused research and education centre located in Shetland. We offer high quality accredited and bespoke training; research, development and knowledge exchange provision; and expert consultancy to support the future sustainability of our coastal communities.
An opening exists in our expanding Nautical Section for a suitably qualified current or ex Merchant Navy Deck officer who is able to teach the full range of Nautical subjects at HND level to Officer Cadets, Professional C.o.C and General Marine students. Applicants must hold a minimum of an STCW'95 Chief Officer Reg II/2 Unlimited C.o.C.
This post will initially be offered on a one-year fixed term basis and requires a Disclosure Check.
Applicants must also be eligible to take up immediate employment in the UK.
